Katie Price has been branded 'the Grim Reaper' by animal rights organisation PETA in a new Halloween campaign, following a series of pet deaths in her care. The former glamour model, 47, recently bought a new puppy despite repeated calls from charities to ban her from owning animals.
PETA's campaign features a cartoon image of Price wearing a black vest with the slogan 'Grim Reaper', holding a coffin filled with cats and dogs. The outfit is available for £34.99 and includes a Katie mask, scythe, and fake animals. Proceeds go towards promoting responsible animal guardianship and spay/neuter surgeries.
Price has faced scrutiny after eight animals died in her care, including a kitten last month that failed to latch on to feed. A change.org petition calling for her to be banned from owning pets has garnered 37,828 signatures. PETA's Vice President for UK and Europe, Mimi Bekhechi, stated: 'Too many animals have met a grim fate under Katie Price's guardianship.'
Price has defended her record, attributing the deaths to 'bad luck' and insisting she loves animals. She recently introduced a new puppy to her family, despite ongoing criticism. A representative for Price was contacted by the Daily Mail for comment.
