Katie Price and Peter Andre to reunite at daughter's event

Katie Price and Peter Andre are about to come face-to-face with each other for the first time in more than 15 years, their daughter Princess has revealed.

Princess's plan for a reunion

In a preview for an upcoming episode of her Princess Diaries show, Princess says: "For my official [make-up] launch, I will probably just invite close family and friends."

Katie replies: "Yeah… I mean, I still haven’t met up with your dad face-to-face yet. It is weird, isn’t it?" Princess tells her "Everything happens for a reason." "Does it?" Katie quips. “I think some things could have been avoided but it is what it is and you just move on."

Princess is later seen asking for advice from brother Junior as she says she wants all her family and friends to be there for such an important event. "Mum and Dad are in a truce now so I am just gonna invite Mum and Dad and whoever wants to come, comes. It might be quite awkward though," she tells him.

Background of their split

The ex-glamour model, 48, tied the knot with Mysterious Girl singer Pete, 53, in 2005 and they went on to have Junior, 20, and 19-year-old Princess together. The pair went through a very public and toxic divorce just four years later and have maintained their distance ever since.

The pair have rarely interacted, though Katie has made jibes at her husband over the years which escalated this year into a podcast rant about Peter trying to cut her out of Princess's life. The row resolved when the duo released a joint statement vowing to "create a calm and supporting environment" for their children.

Joint statement and recent events

In February, Katie and Peter released a bombshell statement where they claimed that they wanted to leave the past behind them and move on in a civil manner. It read: “Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect. We are both focused on creating a calm and supporting environment for our children. We have reached a mutual agreement, both legally and personally confirming that neither of us will speak negatively about the other going forward. We want to stand united for our children. We are hoping this is the start of a positive relationship. We ask for understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead.”

Peter declined to join a string of Katie's exes and appear in her recently released Sky documentary all about her life. It left Katie to give her take on their fiery, but short-lived marriage and their fairytale wedding.
