Katie Price and Peter Andre could soon meet face to face for the first time in years after establishing a truce, thanks to their 19-year-old daughter Princess.
Princess Andre's Cosmetic Launch Plans
Speaking on her ITV reality programme The Princess Diaries, Princess revealed she is considering inviting both her mother and father to a launch event for her cosmetics brand. She acknowledged the meeting might be awkward.
Discussing the matter with her brother Junior, 21, she said: “It's so important to me that for the official launch later on this year, I have as many friends and family with me. So I've been thinking, mum and dad are in a truce now, so I'm going to just invite mum and dad and whoever wants to come comes. Like, it might be quite awkward, though.”
Junior's Thoughts on the Reunion
Junior, who has followed his father's path into music, responded: “Yeah, first time in a room.” He also revealed that he previously avoided inviting both Katie and Peter to the same gig. Nevertheless, Junior said he believed it would “be good.” He added: “They've got a truce, so it'll be good. Supporting [Princess].”
Katie's Perspective on Meeting Peter
Earlier in the episode, Princess joined Katie for a picnic. Katie remarked: “I mean, I still haven't met up with your dad face to face yet. It is weird, isn't it?” Princess agreed, and Katie added: “Not really, I think some things could have been avoided. But it is what it is, and you just move on.”
Background of the Former Couple
Katie and Peter first met as campmates on the third series of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2004 and married at Highclere Castle in Hampshire the following year. They welcomed Junior in 2005 and Princess in 2007 before separating in 2009. Peter is now married to Emily MacDonagh.
