Katie Price's husband, Lee Andrews, failed to appear on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, May 12, for what was to be their first live television interview together. The businessman was unable to join the programme, with host Ed Balls revealing that Andrews 'didn't make his flight' from Dubai.
Instead, the ITV breakfast show aired a short clip from Andrews, who thanked the programme for the invitation but said he had to miss the appearance. This comes amid persistent allegations that Andrews is subject to a travel ban in Dubai, something he continues to deny.
Katie Price, who appeared on the show alone, had previously hinted at a potential travel ban on her podcast last month, saying that 'you can get a travel ban over anything in Dubai.' The couple married in a whirlwind ceremony in January, just weeks after meeting.
Despite the setback, Andrews had been actively promoting the interview on social media, sharing a gushing post about Price just hours before the announcement. He wrote: 'Normalise flexing your partner so loud others don't even think they stand a chance. We're not rushing. We're just not holding back.'
The interview was intended to address concerns from friends and family about their rapid relationship. Price had previously told Good Morning Britain in March that she had not yet introduced Andrews to her five children, saying she wanted to 'get to know him more' first.
It remains unclear when Andrews will be able to travel to the UK for the interview. The couple's next appearance together on the show is yet to be rescheduled.
