Lee Andrews, the husband of Katie Price, has been urged to "seek immediate shelter" following a missile threat in Dubai. The 41-year-old businessman, who resides in the United Arab Emirates, took to social media to share a video showing warning alarms sounding in the background, alerting residents to a potential attack.
In an Instagram post, Andrews said: "Wow, can you hear that alarm going off? That is to warn us that there is a missile nearby." He also shared a screenshot of an emergency alert notification, which read: "Due to current situation, a potential missile threats, seek immediate shelter in the closest secure building, and to steer away from windows, doors, and open areas. Await for further instructions."
The warning comes amid ongoing conflicts across the Middle East, with retaliatory strikes occurring following military action on Iran. The UAE Ministry of Defence later issued a statement confirming that air defences were responding to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran, and that sounds heard were from interception efforts.
Despite the volatile situation, Andrews claimed that Katie Price was planning to fly to Oman to meet him, as flights to Dubai were disrupted. He told followers: "The flights have started to open... Katie would fly there, and I would go to Oman and pick her up and bring her home."
The UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office currently advises against all but essential travel to the United Arab Emirates, warning that travel insurance could be invalidated if advice is ignored. It also advises staying away from military facilities and following local authorities' instructions.
