The former Dawson's Creek co-stars held hands and gazed into each other's eyes on the red carpet, prompting fans to hope for a rekindled romance.

The premiere comes just months after Holmes penned the letter, reflecting on the loss of her former co-star. "I mourn this loss with a heart holding the reality of his absence and deep gratitude for his imprint on it," she wrote.
