Kate Ferdinand Solo Parenting During Rio's World Cup Trip

Kate Ferdinand has said she is 'trying to hold it together' while her husband is away for the World Cup. The TV personality, 35, shared a carousel of images on Instagram to give fans an insight into her current routine. She has been managing the family as Rio Ferdinand was selected by FIFA to co-host the 2026 World Cup official group draw in Washington and is currently working as a prominent media personality covering the ongoing tournament.

Kate's Instagram Update

On Sunday, Kate posted several images on Instagram, including a photo of herself wearing jeans and a striped pink and red top, followed by a snap of her children watching while she recorded an interview. 'Daddy's been gone for 4 weeks, mummy's trying to hold it together,' she posted, adding that the kids 'were quiet for 0.5 seconds.'

She also shared a photo of a poster made by her children called 'When is daddy home?' including a countdown to the end of the World Cup with daily stickers added to it. Kate said, 'Nearly 4 weeks down, just over 2 to go!'

Family Activities and Workouts

The proud mum also posted an image of herself in the gym with two of her children, as well as the family watching the World Cup and making art together. Kate also revealed that she has been regularly going to see little ducklings with her children, and she vowed to become more consistent with her workouts.

'Mummy is doing a great job, also Kate you are stunning,' a fan commented, while another said: 'Obsessed with this all!' A fan described Kate as a 'super mumma' and someone else shared: 'Know the feeling.'

Blended Family of Five

Kate and Rio share a blended family of five children. The couple have two children together – Cree, born in December 2020, and Shae, born in July 2023. Kate is also step-mum to Rio's three children from his first marriage – Lorenz, Tate, and Tia.

Last summer, the family relocated permanently from Bromley, South East London, to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. They currently live in a luxurious £6.5 million mansion located in Al Barari, a luxury, eco-conscious residential community known as the 'green heart' of the city.
