Kate Cassidy, the American influencer and former partner of late One Direction star Liam Payne, has hinted at a new romance. In a TikTok video shared this week, Cassidy is seen being carried by an unidentified man, with the caption: 'I love having a crush' and the tease 'When you know you know.'
The update comes 20 months after Payne's tragic death in Argentina, where he fell from a hotel balcony. Cassidy had left Buenos Aires just days before the incident. She has been open about her grief, but in April she announced she was ready to date again, saying: 'It has been a year and a half since Liam passed away. I think that love after loss is a big chapter within your grief journey.'
Cassidy has consistently emphasised that any future partner must accept her enduring love for Payne. 'Whoever I end up with in my future will have to accept the fact I will always love Liam,' she previously stated. 'I will always talk about Liam, I will always laugh about Liam, I will always cry about Liam.'
She also reflected on the difficulty of comparing new partners to Payne, describing him as 'f***ing hot, funny, kind and generous.' Cassidy added: 'I compare literally everyone to my late partner… he kind of hit every single box on the check list.'
Fans have responded positively to her latest post, offering supportive messages as she navigates life after loss. Cassidy has been candid about her struggles, but remains hopeful for the future, expressing a desire to marry and have children.
