Justin Theroux has become a father for the first time, as his wife Nicole Brydon Bloom gave birth to their son. The 32-year-old actress, known for roles in The Gilded Age and Paradise, announced the news on Saturday 18 April with a black-and-white photo of Theroux holding the newborn.
Bloom captioned the image: “He’s here… we are so in love.” She did not disclose the baby’s name. The couple received congratulations from friends including Brenda Song, Tan France and Nina Dobrev.
The birth comes two months after Bloom revealed she told Theroux she was pregnant over breakfast, describing it as “the classic thing you see in movies”. She recalled his surprised reaction: “How?!” She added, “I was like, ‘Well, I can walk you through it. It was a team effort.’”
The couple, who married in March last year, said they “weren’t entirely planning” the pregnancy but were “excited to start a family”. Theroux, 54, was previously in a six-year relationship with Jennifer Aniston. He began dating Bloom in early 2023, and they made their red-carpet debut in 2024.
