Princess Andre has spoken publicly for the first time since her parents Katie Price and Peter Andre ended their long-running feud. The 18-year-old described the truce as a 'relief' and said it will make life easier for the family.
The former couple, who were married for four years until their 2009 split, had been engaged in a bitter war of words for over a decade. However, earlier this month they issued a joint statement confirming they had signed a legal agreement to stop speaking negatively about each other.
In an interview with The Sun's Fabulous magazine, Princess said: 'I feel really happy that they've both agreed to move forward on good terms. For myself and Junior, it's nice to know that life will be easier for everybody.' She added that it will be 'nice to not have people asking me and Junior about our parents' issues and putting us in the middle'.
The joint statement, shared by Katie on Instagram and later by Peter, read: 'Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect. We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children.'
Princess, who was a small child when her parents split, said she hopes the agreement will help clear up rumours and allow the family to move forward happily. Peter is now married to Dr Emily Andre, while Katie recently married Lee Andrews in Dubai.
