Emily MacDonagh, the wife of singer Peter Andre, has spoken about the anxiety and sleep difficulties she faces while working as an NHS doctor during the coronavirus pandemic.
The 30-year-old doctor told OK! magazine that her sleep has been 'terrible' due to the uncertainty of the situation. She has been using mindfulness exercises to cope.
'There is a certain degree of anxiety at times because it’s such an unknown situation,' she said. 'But the whole country is really behind the NHS, so we’re feeling a lot of love and support.'
Peter Andre, 47, revealed that the couple have been attempting to follow social distancing guidelines at home, although he admitted it is difficult as they share a bed that is two metres wide. He also expressed concern for his wife's family, five of whom work in the NHS.
The couple have two children together, Amelia, six, and Theodore, three. Peter also has two children from his previous marriage to Katie Price: Junior, 14, and Princess, 12.
