Junior Andre has said that his parents Katie Price and Peter Andre are not best friends but that they are calm with each other now, as shown in the third series of The Princess Diaries. Speaking at an ITV event, Junior explained that the show solidifies the truth that came out earlier this year.
Growing Up in the Spotlight
Princess, 19, and Junior, 21, grew up surrounded by cameras. Their parents met on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2004 and later starred in shows like Jordan & Peter: Marriage And Mayhem and Katie & Peter: The Baby Diaries, which followed the births of Junior and Princess. As children, they appeared in their parents' spin-offs.
Princess said: "I really liked the idea of cameras following me around because I don’t think my life is that interesting. But people seem to be interested." The first series of her show was streamed by 6.4 million viewers. Junior added: "That’s where we started really. We don’t know any different."
Family Challenges and Bonds
Having famous parents came with difficulties. Junior told OK! magazine: "It’s always going to be hard, but we’re staying true to ourselves. We’re following our dreams and ambitions." Princess agreed: "You’re always going to get compared to your parents… But as we’ve got older, we’ve just kind of done our thing anyway."
In the Sky documentary Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, Princess and Junior spoke about their mother's historic drug use. Junior said: "When she wasn’t in the right headspace, she wasn’t being a mum." He described it as the most difficult time of his life and moved in with his father. Now Junior lives with his girlfriend Jasmine, and Princess lives with Peter and his wife Emily, but both have a strong relationship with their mum.
Parents' Relationship Now
Katie Price and Peter Andre had feuded on and off since their divorce but in February 2026 released a statement for the sake of their children. Junior said the show proves they are calm: "It just solidifies the truth that came out and shows people that they are calm, you know? That yes, they’re not best friends, but they don’t need to be." Katie will appear in the third series of The Princess Diaries for the first time. Princess teased: "There’s a lot that’s happened that’s really exciting, our family’s going to be in it."
Sibling Bond
Princess admitted the siblings used to hate each other but now get on well. She said: "If I was looking for a partner, I’d want them to have the same qualities as my dad and Junior." Junior also lets her test new lipgloss on him. They are also close to their elder brother Harvey, who has Prader-Willi Syndrome, and took him out for the day in one episode.
Princess is launching a make-up brand while Junior, who worked for Transport for London to fund his music career, is set to release new songs. She credits her parents for her grounded attitude: "‘Always be humble, and don’t let people’s negative comments bring you down.’ They’ve always taught us that you can achieve everything you want to achieve."
