TV presenter Judy Finnigan, 77, has revealed how she lost two stone following a life-threatening health scare in 2018. The former 'Richard and Judy' star needed two emergency blood transfusions after a ruptured stomach ulcer nearly killed her, caused by taking ibuprofen.
Finnigan credited her daughter, personal trainer Chloe Madeley, 34, for helping her adopt a healthier lifestyle. Chloe devised a plan focusing on smaller portions, eating more frequently, and regular exercise, leading to the significant weight loss.
Reflecting on the ordeal, Finnigan said: 'I nearly died. Totally out of the blue, never experienced anything like it before, and hope to god, I never will again. I survived thanks to exceptionally swift arrivals and skilled ambulance crew and superb emergency treatment at London’s Royal Free Hospital and two major life-saving blood transfusions.'
Chloe noted that her mother's diet had naturally improved over time, with Finnigan now favouring sushi, raw fish, and whole grain salads. 'Her palate is changing as she’s getting older,' Chloe told MailOnline. 'I have to say her diet is now amazing. She has dropped the pounds naturally.'
