Josie Gibson, who rose to fame after winning Big Brother in 2010 and now co-hosts segments on This Morning, has reportedly swapped her £1 million Somerset mansion for a caravan while renovations are under way. A source close to the star told The Sun that she would 'happily live in a caravan forever' and prefers a 'normal life' away from the spotlight.
The source explained that Gibson's neighbours in the West Country are baffled as to why she remains in a mobile home when she could 'have the life most of us can only dream of'. However, the presenter laughs off the comments, insisting this is the life she dreams of. She is said to be seeking a 'stable family life' for herself and her seven-year-old son Reggie, and would like to settle down with a partner.
Though Gibson is currently single, she was recently linked to TikTok star Sam Wolfenden after they were seen together at the Cheltenham Festival, but Wolfenden is engaged to his childhood sweetheart. Despite her desire for privacy, Gibson will soon front her own ITV series, Josie Gibson's Big Country Build, in which she renovates her home with the help of her brothers, Charlie and Josh, and cousin Tom.
In a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain, Gibson joked that she is 'skint' because of the renovation costs and admitted to sleepless nights due to stress. The source added that she continues to work in television to secure a future for her son, but insists she 'doesn't care' about fame and is 'not silly enough to turn the money down'.
