Josie Gibson, the 41-year-old This Morning presenter, has proudly shown off the results of her recent £7,000 lipoedema surgery by channeling Marilyn Monroe in a plunging 1950s-style dress on Instagram.

In a series of sleeveless dresses, Gibson flaunted her new figure, captioning the post with a shout-out to several brands and stating she was "showing off my new arms." Fans quickly flooded the comments with praise, with one writing: "You looking stunning Josie always have but your confidence has gone up ten fold." Another added: "Josie you look amazing," and a third commented: "You are so beautiful Josie, both inside and out. Love how down to earth you are."
Understanding Lipoedema
Gibson has been open about her battle with lipoedema, a connective adipose tissue disorder that primarily affects women. Unlike regular body fat, this abnormal accumulation cannot be eliminated through exercise or diet alone. She recalled her diagnosis: "I said to them, 'I train, I don't feel like I overeat, I'm fit and healthy.' They said: 'You could train seven days a week but you don't get rid of lipoedema fat like that.' It's like congealed fat."
Previous Surgery and Costs
In January, Gibson discussed her condition on This Morning with colleagues Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, explaining that she had consulted experts in Berlin and London. She had previously undergone surgery on her calves in September, describing the procedure: "What they do is they've got this treatment for lipoedema now where they perform this lipo procedure and they burn your skin from the inside so your skin tightens back up again." She noted that the treatment is divided into sections and costs around £7,000 for the calves alone.
