Catherine Harding, wife of Arsenal star Jorginho and former partner of Jude Law, has responded to Chappell Roan after an incident involving her 11-year-old daughter Ava. The singer denied her security team was involved, but Harding insists the guard was with Roan.
Over the weekend, Harding claimed Roan's security guard interrupted their family breakfast, telling them off after Ava walked past the singer. Roan later said she 'didn't even see' the child and that the guard was not her personal staff.
Harding took to Instagram to refute Roan's account, stating: 'I know that Chappell has responded... well, 100% this wasn't a security guard of the hotel... he looks after artists.' She added that she does not know if Roan sent the guard but said celebrities have responsibility for those acting on their behalf.
Harding described the guard as 'aggressive and intimidating' and explained that Ava only smiled at Roan. She said the incident 'ruined' Ava's birthday present, which was tickets to Roan's show in São Paulo, though they did not attend.
In her own video, Roan said she did not ask the guard to approach the family and apologised if they felt uncomfortable, calling the situation 'unfair'. Harding expressed hope that Roan did not know about the guard's actions and urged her to ensure staff do not treat people poorly.
