Jordan Stephens' Jade Thirlwall Comments Resurface After Split

Jordan Stephens' past comments about his relationship with Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall have resurfaced following reports the couple have split after six years together.

Split Reports Emerge

Reports of their split began circulating when Jordan appeared to have wiped Jade from his Instagram account, though the two continue to follow each other. The news left fans stunned.

Jordan's Comments on Love

During an interview on Loose Women, Jordan spoke about his relationship with Jade. After Coleen Nolan mentioned his "beautiful girlfriend, Jade," Jordan said: "I literally had a list of qualities I wanted in a relationship which isn't something that especially a lot of men really think about. So when I met Jade I literally went through the list and was like 'I think she's great'."

He added he was "massively proud of her" and her solo career. "I do think you have to have an understanding of what you deserve," Jordan continued. "You can put the energy out there. You can be aware of what it is that you deserve. And I think for a lot of men especially, I can only speak from that position. We're not even aware of the fact that we do deserve love sometimes."

Podcast Comments

Speaking on Paul C. Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast, Jordan said he "never knew" a love like his with Jade. He said: "I never knew I could feel like this. I never knew that there's a safety in somebody."

Reason for Split

A source told The Sun: "Jade and Jordan had a very serious and loving relationship but recently they have had some frank discussions about their future and have decided to separate. It's not been an easy time but they've both been throwing themselves into work."

Relationship History

Jade, who rose to fame as part of Little Mix after winning The X Factor in 2011, previously said she messaged Jordan on Instagram during lockdown. Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, she explained: "I met someone in lockdown. We met on Zoom. I slid into the DMs. Then we had some Zoom dates."

Their relationship was confirmed at the Black Lives Matter march in London in July 2020, and they went Instagram official in September of that year. Before Jordan, Jade had a four-year relationship with The Struts bassist Jed Elliott.
