Jordan Brook, star of The Only Way Is Essex, has provided a health update after spending 10 days in hospital with swelling on the brain. The reality TV personality, who is expecting a baby with girlfriend Sophie Kasaei, described the ordeal as the 'hardest battle' he has ever fought.
In a social media post, Brook wrote: 'Day 10 in hospital. Hardest battle I've ever fought. Family is everything. Praying and hoping. Meds up. Brain is showing continued issues, swelling and pain.' He confirmed that tests have revealed inflammation and swelling of the brain, and he is awaiting further results from a procedure.
Sophie Kasaei, who is pregnant, has been unable to visit due to the risk to her and the baby. She said: 'It's been a tough two weeks for our family. Seeing Jordan so poorly has been hard but he is getting there and will get better. It's going to take time but he is so strong.' She added that they are still waiting for answers and that Brook is mostly sleeping due to pain.
Brook expressed gratitude for the support, saying: 'A really scary time that reassures you we are all human. Hoping to rest up and be fighting fit and back home with my girl and bump, soon but at the minute seems a long way off.'
