JoJo Siwa has revealed she was hospitalised with “excruciating” stomach pains just hours before a scheduled performance at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, on Friday (November 28).
The pop star shared details of the health scare in a TikTok post, explaining that she had been experiencing pain while dancing or walking for several days. She initially dismissed the discomfort as a cramp, but after taking a warm bath, the pain worsened significantly.
Acting on her mother’s advice, Siwa called an ambulance. At the hospital, doctors diagnosed her with a burst ovarian cyst that was bleeding into her stomach. “That’s what was causing the excruciating pain,” she said, describing the sensation as “brutal”.
Despite the medical emergency, Siwa went ahead with the Mall of America show. She explained that the bleeding should resolve on its own, but added that she would return to hospital if the severe pain recurred or if she vomited.
The singer recently finished her ‘Infinity Heart’ UK and European tour, and earlier this year appeared as a contestant on the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother.
