Joel Dommett has announced that he will not be heading to Australia to present this year's series of I'm a Celebrity spin-off Unpacked. The TV star had been hosting the ITV reality hit's companion show since 2024, sharing the role with Sam Thompson and Kemi Rodgers, but he told fans on Instagram that this year he will be staying at home in the UK with his wife Hannah and their young children.
Joel's announcement
Sharing a string of snaps from his time in the jungle, the comedian couldn't resist a joke about the main show's hosts Ant and Dec. He added in an image of his ankles with what looked like tattoos of their names on them, as he quipped there was a "restraining order" in place.
"It's time to say goodbye to my time hosting the I'm a Celeb extra Show, not just because of the restraining order," he said. "It's been 10 years since I went in there as a campmate, and I was super lucky to go back again, and again, and again."
Family focus
A picture of Hannah and their son Wilde, who was born in 2023, then appeared, followed by one of Hannah when she was expecting their second child Dutch, who was born in May. "But this year I'm going to stay at home with these dudes and the extra one that kind of came with us too," he said. "It's been mad seeing my life evolve in Australia from this to this. I've blooming loved it, gdayyy mate."

Joel's jungle history
Joel first went into the jungle in 2016, when he was a camper alongside the likes of Carol Vorderman, Adam Thomas, Ola Jordan and Scarlett Moffatt, who won the series that year. He went on to become a presenter on I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp and then I'm a Celebrity: Unpacked.
The much-loved reality series is set to return for a new series this year, with Ant and Dec once again on hosting duty. The show is expected to start in November. I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! airs on ITV.
