Joe Swash has shared a gushing message about his wife, Stacey Solomon, on Instagram, following the couple's announcement that they have welcomed two new ponies to their home, Pickle Cottage. The post comes after the pair faced heavy speculation about their relationship.
Joe Swash's Heartfelt Tribute
On Friday, July 3, the actor and presenter posted a photo of himself and Stacey during a visit to Heart's HQ, writing: "So grateful to do what I love alongside my beautiful wife. I don’t take a single day of it for granted." The message appeared to address swirling rumors that the couple were on the brink of divorce, after Stacey was previously quizzed on national TV about not always wearing her wedding ring.
New Additions to Pickle Cottage
The couple, who married in 2022, have expanded their menagerie of pets by fostering two ponies named Thumbelina and Mermaid. Stacey announced the news on Instagram on Thursday, July 3, sharing a sweet video of the ponies' arrival and their children meeting them for the first time. She wrote: "We are officially Pony Foster Parents. Meet Thumbelina & Mermaid. They are two girls who were rescued by the incredible Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Thumbelina was seriously neglected when she was rescued by Redwings who saved her & mermaid’s owner could no longer look after her. So we are so grateful to be able to offer them a home."
Stacey added: "We have a grass area sectioned off for them & also a dry area. Redwings will check in and visit us and give us all of the guidance we need to be the best pony parents for mermaid and Thumbelina." She also mentioned that her friend Lianne from Hopefield Animal Sanctuary will help care for the ponies.
Plans for a Fishing Lake
The couple's plans for their expansive Essex property have been featured in their BBC reality show, Stacey & Joe. Joe has been building a lake on the land, which is set to appear in the third series of the programme. The BBC synopsis stated: "Joe hopes the lake can be more than just a business. Having always found fishing to be a form of therapy, he’s passionate about creating a space where young people – particularly teenagers struggling with ADHD or mental health challenges – can come and spend time by the water." The series will follow the family's journey to the grand opening of the fishing lake.
Earlier in June, Stacey filmed Joe building an enclosure for the ponies on their land, saying: "He's been building an enclosure for if we, well, when we, because we've gone far with it now, foster some ponies." She expressed excitement, saying: "This is exciting, bubba! This is actually happening!"
