Joe Sugg has been forced to deny rumours that his partner Dianne Buswell has given birth, with the Strictly star confirming she is "very much still pregnant". The YouTuber hit back at an AI-generated image that appeared to show the couple with their newborn baby.
Sharing the image on social media, Joe joked that he "worries for the Facebook generation" with the rise of AI, and revealed that friends and family had been sending congratulatory messages. He said: "That's not me. I don't know who that is, but it's not me. That's not my chin. That's not my hair unfortunately." He also pointed out that the image of Dianne and the baby was not real, though he admitted he hoped their son would be "that cute".
Dianne then appeared in the video showing her heavily pregnant bump, saying: "I am still very much pregnant." Joe concluded: "Yeah, he's not here. It's AI. It's getting scary."
Fans and Strictly co-stars were quick to react, with Gorka Marquez joking about his own AI news, saying: "According to AI news we are pregnant again and got married last week in secret wedding." Vito Coppola also found it amusing, and one follower quipped: "Guys this is just the AI speaking, they've had the baby."
It comes just days after Dianne hit out at trolls who mocked her for showing off her baby bump. She shared a clip of herself confidently displaying her bump, taunting her critics. The couple, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, announced they were expecting in September 2025. Dianne has previously spoken about her joy at her changing body, describing it as "the most beautiful thing" and said she never worried about taking time out from dancing.
Speaking about their relationship last summer, Dianne told Prima that she and Joe always wanted kids and believed it would happen when the time was right. "When everything aligns, it will happen. I have to have that vision. I like to practise manifestation, I'm quite spiritual," she said.
