Jimmy Carr has waded into the Beckham family feud, delivering a scathing takedown of Brooklyn Beckham during a recent stand-up show. The comedian, 53, was asked by an audience member for his thoughts on the ongoing rift between Brooklyn, 26, and his parents David and Victoria Beckham.
Brooklyn last week accused his parents of interfering in his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz, claiming Victoria had pulled out of designing Nicola's wedding dress at the eleventh hour and had 'hijacked' the couple's first dance at their 2022 wedding. Addressing the drama on stage, Carr turned his fire primarily on Brooklyn, branding him 'entitled' and mocking his varied career attempts.
'He claims he's not just a nepo baby, he's a chef,' Carr quipped. 'I think he's so entitled he's mixed up being a chef with making his own dinner. He probably brushes his teeth and thinks, “I'm actually a f***ing brilliant dentist.”'
The comedian also poked fun at Brooklyn's claim that Victoria danced 'inappropriately' with him at the wedding. 'It would appear that Brooklyn Beckham has fallen out with his parents because his mum did a sexy, grindy dance with him at his wedding,' Carr said, before adding: 'Victoria Beckham didn't even dance when she was in the f***ing Spice Girls.'
Brooklyn's career trajectory has long attracted online mockery. He briefly pursued football in Arsenal's youth academy, later turned to photography — releasing a critically derided book in 2017 — before trying modelling and, more recently, cooking. His latest venture, hot sauce brand Cloud 23, has also drawn scrutiny due to its close association with his famous parents, being named after David Beckham's iconic number 23 shirt.
Despite the public fallout, sources close to David and Victoria have said the couple are 'devastated' by the situation and would reconcile with their son 'in a heartbeat'.
