Jim Davidson 'dating Simon Cowell's ex' weeks after sixth wedding called off
Jim Davidson 'dating Simon Cowell's ex' weeks after wedding off

Veteran TV star Jim Davidson is reportedly dating Simon Cowell's ex weeks after pulling the plug on his latest wedding. The Celebrity Big Brother star, 72, was preparing to marry fiancée Natasha, 23 years his junior, at Hampton Court Palace before the couple split last month, losing his £10,000 deposit.

He was due to say 'I do' for a sixth time, but the former Generation Game host has already moved on. It has been claimed he is now seeing Simon's beauty pageant ex Maria Rice-Mundy, 60, a former model who dated the talent-show impresario in the late 80s.

New relationship confirmed

A source has confirmed Jim and Maria have been dating for weeks and it seems he is already smitten. Things are moving fast, and a friend of the star says he has already been flaunting his new relationship on his personal social media pages.

"Jim's already fallen big time and posted a picture of her on Facebook," the pal told MailOnline. "They've been on a few dinner dates and she's very giggly around him. Jim doesn't mess about when it comes to the ladies."

Divorce costs and past relationships

Jim was married to his fifth wife, Michelle Cotton, from 2009 to 2024 and has five children from previous partners. He has said he has lost between '£50-60million' on divorces, with a trail of failed marriages in his wake.

Speaking on Piers Morgan's Life Stories in 2018 - before his costly split from Michelle - the comedian said he "absolutely" thought it was always the woman's fault for his failed relationships and admitted the four divorces had cost him dearly. Asked about the money he lost, he said: "I don't know, I'm not sure, getting on to 50, 60 million must have passed through my hands." Asked how he felt about that, he told the host: "Brilliant. Thank God I had it. When I won New Faces I said, 'mum you'll never have to work again as long as you live', and she never did."

Wedding called off

Jim announced his wedding was off last month, but was quick to say there was no 'bad blood' between him and Natasha and called her the most 'caring and dutiful' person. "It's not like we're splitting up because we don't love each other anymore. It's a sort of a grown-up separation. The timing's not right because she has so much time for everybody and how can you knock that?" he told The Sun.

Explaining the reason for the split, Jim said: "She is just so busy and so I'm very busy as well. I've just finished a tour and my a*** is shaped like my car seat after travelling around the country. I get out of the car and I walk like I'm still in it."
