Jesy Nelson has thanked fans for their support following the launch of her new documentary, just a day after former bandmate Perrie Edwards broke her silence on their feud, labeling her as 'difficult'.
Documentary Premiere at Sheffield DocFest
The singer attended Sheffield DocFest on Thursday to showcase her Amazon Prime series, Jesy Nelson Life Changing, which follows her life as a mother of twins diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. She shared photos on Instagram and expressed gratitude: 'The most special day showcasing my brand new documentary... Got to finally meet some of my beautiful fans today as well which has been such a long time coming. Thank you to every one that came to support me today. My heart is so full.'
Perrie Edwards Addresses Feud
Just a day prior, Perrie Edwards spoke on Jamie Laing's podcast about the long-standing rift, which intensified after Jesy left Little Mix in December 2020 citing mental health issues. Perrie claimed she felt misrepresented by Jesy's comments about lack of support, stating: 'Take some accountability for your actions and realise you were difficult... you can only pick someone up so many f***ing times before you start losing track of your own sanity.' She also ruled out a reunion, saying she can 'cut you off' if hurt.
Jesy's Sister Defends Her
Jesy's sister, Jade Nelson, defended her on Instagram, expressing frustration over 'lies and accusations'. She wrote: 'I’ve watched my sister go through hell and back... when you attempt to end your life not once, but twice it shows the dark place you must be in and YES that was with a lack of support many many times.' She added that Jesy has taken accountability and was 'hard work' but always there for others.
Jesy has previously been open about her mental health struggles, including in earlier documentaries. The feud has been a topic of speculation since her departure from the group.
