Jesy Nelson Returns to Instagram After Little Mix Exit, Details 50 Injections for Performance

Jesy Nelson has shared her first Instagram post since announcing her departure from Little Mix on Monday. The 29-year-old singer posed confidently in a white and red crop top, showing off her abs and arm tattoos, with her brunette hair styled in curls and minimal makeup.

The post comes as revelations from the band's 2016 autobiography 'Our World' resurfaced, detailing Nelson's extreme measures to perform despite severe shoulder pain. In September 2015, the group was scheduled to perform 'Black Magic' on America's Got Talent with the AcroArmy gymnastics team. Nelson wrote that her shoulder 'went' on the day, leaving her in agony and unable to move.

She described receiving approximately 50 injections to numb her shoulder, sobbing from the pain, and being covered in bruises. 'It was almost like I had to get through it, no matter what,' she wrote. Nelson also recalled being given coffee to stay awake and described it as 'the worst thing I've had to do.'

In other passages, Nelson revealed she was given strong antibiotics for a dental issue that caused vomiting, and that stress over her mother's heart condition led to her infected ear bleeding. She noted the difficulty of balancing work and personal health, saying, 'What's weird in this job is that people don't seem to believe we get ill like everyone else does.'

On Friday, Nelson returned to Instagram, thanking fans for their support since her exit announcement. She wrote, 'I just want to say thank you so much to everyone of you that has shown me so much love and support over the past few days.' She also removed the Little Mix mention from her Instagram bio.
