The singer and actress, who marked the occasion on July 10, posed in black and white swimwear with sunglasses and chains, lounging on a purple crocheted blanket. The post drew enthusiastic responses, with one fan remarking she looked 23, while another praised the bikini.
The birthday post comes after a transformative year for Simpson, who released her debut EP Nashville Canyon, Part 1 in March, followed by Part 2 in September. The release followed her divorce from former NFL player Eric Johnson, bringing an end to their 15-year relationship.
Simpson has since returned to the stage, performing in Las Vegas and other cities. Her most recent show was in Ohio in June, with a performance in Mexico City scheduled for October. She reflected on the catharsis of performing again after 15 years away.
In an Instagram post, she spoke about writing the song Fade for Nashville Canyon Part 2 on the day her life changed in October 2023, and said performing has helped her free herself from pain. She added that fans have "resurrected my purpose" and accepted her as she is.
