Jessica Alba's Costly Prenup Lesson in Divorce Settlement

Jessica Alba has learned a costly lesson about marrying without a prenuptial agreement, as new details of her divorce settlement with Cash Warren have emerged. The couple, who were married for 16 years and announced their split in 2025, had their divorce finalised on February 12, with court documents filed on March 16 revealing the division of their assets.

Under the settlement, neither party will pay spousal support. However, Cash Warren will receive half of Alba's residuals from work she completed during their marriage, including roles in The Office, Valentine’s Day, Machete, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and others. Alba will retain all royalties from projects before their 2008 wedding, such as Never Been Kissed, Dark Angel, and Fantastic Four.

The settlement also addresses Alba's consumer goods brand, The Honest Company, valued at $310 million. Warren will receive half of 1,170,058 vested restricted stock shares and 4,523,035 certificate-restricted shares. The couple will equally divide community property, including investments in Popchips, WeWork, and other companies, as well as furniture and art.

Alba will keep her personal belongings, several bank accounts, and vehicles including an Audi Q-6 E-tron and two Kia Sportages. Warren will retain his 2024 BMW i7, and they will split airline miles. Alba must pay Warren $5 million from the sale of one home and set aside $500,000 for their children's expenses.

The couple share three children: daughters Honor, 17, and Haven, 14, and son Hayes, eight. They agreed to joint legal and physical custody, with no child support at this time. Alba will also pay Warren $3 million in two non-taxable instalments of $1.5 million each.
