The star-studded line-up for the second series of The Celebrity Traitors has been revealed, with model and actress Jerry Hall among the 21 famous faces set to compete. However, the 69-year-old American model has been dealt a devastating blow after being installed as the 33/1 outsider to win the show, according to bookmaker Ladbrokes.
Filming begins in Scotland
The BBC spin-off reportedly kicks off filming this week in a Scottish castle, with host Claudia Winkleman separating the players into Traitors and Faithfuls. Jerry Hall was spotted at Inverness airport, looking glamorous in sunglasses and with her long blonde hair loose, ahead of the game.
Joining Hall are big names such as Michael Sheen, Miranda Hart, Maya Jama, and Leigh-Ann Pinnock. Miranda Hart has been installed as the early favourite to win, with odds of 3/1. British singer James Blunt is the 6/1 second favourite, while comedians Rob Beckett and Joanne McNally round off the top three at 7/1 and 8/1 respectively.
Other contestants and odds
Other notable contestants include actor Richard E Grant at 10/1, Love Island host Maya Jama at 12/1, and EastEnders legend Ross Kemp at 14/1. Jerry Hall, however, is the rank outsider at 33/1.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Miranda Hart makes perfect Traitors material – she’s quick-witted, likeable, and smart enough to stay under the radar. Punters think she’s well equipped to go deep in the game, which is why she leads the early betting.”
Arrivals in Scotland
Journalist and presenter Amol Rajan was also snapped arriving in Scotland, wearing a casual outfit of blue jeans, brown boots, and a padded black puffer jacket. Bella Ramsay, known for roles in Game of Thrones and The Last of Us, was photographed smiling as she was escorted through the airport by a woman in a high-vis jacket. She wore a toasty black jacket and a backpack, with her hair in loose curls.
Richard E Grant, best known for films including Withnail and I, Nuremberg, and The Iron Lady, was also snapped arriving at the airport. He wore a brown blazer and a high neck top to protect against the cold Scottish air and was quickly escorted into a car.
Full line-up
Other stars joining the show include comedians James Acaster, Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh, King Kenny, Myha’la, Professor Hannah Fry, Romesh Ranganathan, Sebastian Croft, and Sharon Rooney.
Fans have already begun speculating that the “big dogs” of the new series could be Jerry and Miranda, or perhaps Michael and Richard. But of course, the game has not yet begun.
Once filming starts this weekend, the 21 players will be separated into Traitors and Faithfuls following lengthy interviews with presenter Claudia Winkleman and members of the production team. The Celebrity Traitors is expected to return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year.
