Jeremy Clarkson Returns to ITV with Two New Millionaire Series After Cancer Remission
Jeremy Clarkson ITV Return: Two New Millionaire Series

ITV has confirmed that Jeremy Clarkson will return with new episodes of two quiz shows, Millionaire Hot Seat and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, following his recent announcement that he is in remission from prostate cancer.

New Episodes Ordered

The broadcaster has commissioned 20 new episodes of the fast-paced spin-off Millionaire Hot Seat and a further 15 episodes of the original flagship quiz show. The new order follows the successful launch of Millionaire Hot Seat earlier this year, which became the third most-watched entertainment series on ITVX in 2025, after Britain’s Got Talent and The Masked Singer.

Katie Rawcliffe, Director of Entertainment, Reality & Daytime Commissioning at ITV, said: “The Millionaire brand continues to deliver for ITV audiences and Millionaire Hot Seat has brought an exciting new energy to the format. The combination of Jeremy Clarkson’s hosting and the high-pressure gameplay has proved a winning formula, so we’re delighted to be bringing both Millionaire Hot Seat and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? back for more episodes.”

Clarkson's Health Update

The recommission comes a week after Clarkson, 66, revealed he is in remission from prostate cancer. During a recent episode of Clarkson's Farm, he disclosed he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of the cancer in 2025. Clarkson confirmed to the Sunday Times that follow-up testing two months ago showed no indication of cancer. “I am without a doubt, officially, the world's luckiest man,” he told the paper. “It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have been trouble.”

Production Details

The new episodes of both shows will film later this year for broadcast on ITV and streaming on ITVX. The programmes are produced by Belfast-based Stellify Media, the Sony Pictures Television-backed indie behind the franchise. The first episode of the latest Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? series, which featured a million-pound winner, was the highest-rated episode of the show so far this year.
