Jennifer Love Hewitt made a rare red carpet appearance on July 14, debuting a bold new hair colour at the premiere of I Know What You Did Last Summer in Los Angeles. The 46-year-old actress, known for her brunette or blonde locks, has switched to a vibrant red shade dubbed 'Sunset Lover' by her hairstylist Nikki Lee.
Hewitt wore a black embellished ankle-length dress with 3-D jewel beading, a square neckline, and thin straps, letting her copper hair be the pop of colour. She accessorised with matching heels and rings, and opted for a soft smoky eye and nude lip.
The actress confirmed in December that she has reprised her role as Julie James in the slasher series, 26 years after the original 1997 film and its 1998 sequel. The new film follows five friends who cover up a deadly car accident and are stalked by a killer a year later.
Hewitt told People she returned for her children, Autumn, 11, and Atticus, 10, who are 'horror people'. She joked that her daughter wants to meet the new young stars, adding: 'I have to do it for my kids now.'
