Jennifer Lopez has opened up about a dramatic wardrobe malfunction that occurred during her recent performance in Poland. In an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the 56-year-old singer and actress discussed the mishap, which involved a golden dress that was made on the day of the show. Lopez explained that she had seen a picture of 1990s supermodel Yasmine Blythe wearing a similar outfit and decided she wanted one for herself.
“They made that outfit that day,” Lopez said. “I had seen a picture of an old supermodel from, like, the 90s, Yasmine Blythe, and she had this cute little outfit. I was like, let's make this outfit.” She added that the team worked frantically to create the dress, but it was not ready until the last minute. “And I go out there, and the thing just falls apart,” she recalled.
Despite the wardrobe failure, Lopez remained composed on stage. “Thank God I had a big, you know, underwear on,” she joked. The host, Jimmy Fallon, praised her for continuing the performance without missing a beat.
Lopez also recounted another on-stage incident involving an insect that crawled up her body during a performance. “I felt something happening. And I was just like, oh, I thought it was, like, a bug that was flying around,” she said. She explained that she initially thought it was just a flying insect, but it turned out to be crawling on her. “It was crawling up my body the whole time,” she added.
She described how the insect eventually reached her neck as she neared the end of the song. “I was like, I'm not gonna... Whatever it is, you know, it's just-it's just touching and going back, because it was just, like, little legs,” she said. Lopez managed to finish the song before dealing with the creature. When asked if anyone was hit by the insect, she replied, “No, I saw it in the light, and it looked like a helicopter. It was the size of a helicopter. It had... It had a face on it.”
