Cate Blanchett brought Paris Fashion Week to a close with a standout appearance at Louis Vuitton's show in the Cour Carree of the Louvre Museum. The 54-year-old actress wore a draped blue silk top paired with black leather-look trousers, a look she previously debuted at the 2023 Oscars with a floor-length black skirt. Her stylist, Elizabeth Stewart, highlighted the garment's sustainability on Instagram, noting it was made from reclaimed fabric from the atelier and declaring it 'too good to not wear again'.
The show marked a milestone for French creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere, celebrating his 10-year anniversary at the fashion house. The front row was packed with Louis Vuitton ambassadors and celebrities, including Sophie Turner, Saoirse Ronan, Emma Stone, and Sarah Paulson. Turner, 28, opted for pirate-inspired chic in high-waisted cream striped trousers and an ombre pink and maroon draped top, while Ronan, 29, wore a salmon-coloured high-waisted trouser suit.
Emma Stone, 35, nominated for Best Actress at the upcoming Oscars, chose white high-waisted trousers with a light beige bustier and matching bolero. Paulson, 49, embraced an Eighties-inspired look with mixed patterns, while Lea Seydoux, 38, wore a sleek black coat. Cynthia Erivo, 37, and Gemma Chan, 41, both opted for monochromatic styles, and Millie Bobby Brown, 20, stood out in a bright pink mini dress.
The runway itself showcased a futuristic take on Louis Vuitton's greatest hits from the past decade, featuring shimmering silver and gold patterns, brocade, and Eighties-inspired silhouettes. Ghesquiere recently renewed his contract for another five years, and with Zendaya joining as a brand ambassador, the house looks set for more star-studded events ahead.
