Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux reportedly banned mobile phones at their wedding reception, leaving guests without their devices. Shock jock Howard Stern, a guest at the ceremony, revealed the strict rule on his SiriusXM show.
Stern joked about the irony, noting that the couple themselves take photos constantly during vacations, yet prohibited guests from capturing their special day. He described the event as highly secretive, with invitations referring to it as a 'birthday party' and the wedding taking place on a Wednesday to avoid attention.
The couple tied the knot at their Bel Air home, and Stern recounted his frustration at being without his phone. 'Why can't I have my cell phone? I don't want to take a picture of you two! I want my cell phone so after I make this speech I can call my car,' he quipped, adding that guests laughed at his misery.
Stern also shared experiences of vacations with the pair, where photographers were blocked by sheets to prevent any unauthorised pictures. The radio host concluded that such secrecy forces you to really get to know people when you can't leave the house.
