Dr. Stephanie Buttermore, a popular fitness influencer and the fiancée of YouTube star Jeff Nippard, has died at the age of 36. Nippard’s team announced her sudden passing in a statement on Instagram on Friday.
The statement read: “It is with profound sorrow that we share the sudden passing of Jeff’s fiancée and partner of ten years, Stephanie. As many of you know, Stephanie meant the world to Jeff. She will be remembered for her warmth and compassion, her love for her family, and her PhD research on ovarian cancer.” It concluded by asking fans to respect Nippard’s request for privacy.
Buttermore, who held a PhD in pathology and cell biology, was a cancer research scientist focusing on ovarian cancer. She had over 500,000 Instagram followers, where she shared workout videos and body-positive content. Her last post was in May 2024, explaining her decision to leave the platform for her mental health, saying she no longer struggled with anxiety.
No cause of death has been disclosed. The news comes days after her birthday on 25 February. Nippard, who has 3.7 million Instagram followers and 8.2 million YouTube subscribers, announced their engagement in October 2022. Fans have flooded his recent posts with condolences.
