Comedian Jason Manford sparked concern among fans after announcing the last-minute cancellation of his show at the Alban Arena on Wednesday. The 44-year-old entertainer took to social media to share the unexpected news, stating that the performance had been cancelled because he was unwell and would be rescheduled to Monday, 20th October 2025.
The statement, which appeared to be posted on his behalf, apologised for any inconvenience caused. Fans quickly responded with messages of support, urging him to rest and recover. One wrote: 'Get well soon Jase, take it easy fella,' while another advised: 'Stop burning the candle at both ends.'
The cancellation comes shortly after Manford publicly criticised a hotel for overbooking. During a stay in Bournemouth, he was told his room had been sold to someone else due to his late arrival, forcing him to share a room with a friend. He described the policy as 'naughty' and expressed surprise, noting that in 25 years of touring, he had never encountered such an issue.
Despite the incident, some fans joked about the situation, with one quipping: 'Are you sure your hotel didn't just cancel your room?' The light-hearted comment referenced the earlier hotel fiasco, which Manford had detailed on social media.
The rescheduled date for the show is now set for October 2025, and ticket holders are advised to keep their tickets for the new date.
