Jamie Laing Begged Sophie Habboo for Sex After Birth

Sophie Habboo has revealed that her husband Jamie Laing tearfully begged her for sex just three weeks after she gave birth, following a period of near celibacy throughout her pregnancy. The Made In Chelsea stars became parents for the first time when they welcomed their son Ziggy in December, documenting the journey in a Disney+ series titled Raising Chelsea.

Podcast Revelations

Speaking on their NewParents podcast on Friday, Jamie, 37, admitted to being disappointed by the lack of intimacy after returning home from the hospital with Sophie, 31. 'I thought we were going to go back to normal as a couple and being a bit frisky with each other,' he said, to which Sophie replied, 'When have we ever been frisky with each other?'

While Jamie insisted they were 'frisky' at the beginning of her pregnancy, Sophie snapped back, 'We were celibate for a whole year during my pregnancy, we did it twice during the whole year.' She then recalled how Jamie was 'literally crying' and insisted their lack of intimacy was 'not normal' after she refused to have sex.

Emotional Confrontation

'Jamie at three weeks was like "We need to have sex, this is not normal, please Sophie I've waited a year" literally crying and stamped your little arms and legs and said you'd waited a year,' Sophie recounted. She continued, 'Firstly I actually physically cannot, I have stitches all over me down there. Secondly, I have to be signed off by the doctor and you were like "oh, that's bulls***, it's always an excuse with you, you don't have to be signed off by the doctor."'

Sophie said she was so furious that she forced her husband to phone the doctor to confirm that what she was saying was true. Jamie giggled as he recalled Sophie's words: 'I'm not having sex with you because I've just had my stomach ripped open and I've got stitches everywhere, I have our son sucking on my nipple every single day, I'm tired, I'm exhausted, I'm floored, the last thing I want is you breathing on me, get out of here.'

Previous Struggles with Conception

This revelation comes after Jamie disclosed that he left his wife 'raging' with fury in the bedroom when they were trying to conceive their first child. Appearing on Olivia Attwood's podcast on Thursday alongside his wife, he revealed that the pressure of trying to conceive led to performance issues.

Speaking on Olivia's House, Jamie said of the pressure to get pregnant: 'For some reason, every part of my being was like "don't do this" and I was like, "What's going on?" So, nothing was working.' Shocked host Olivia asked, 'Wait, nothing was working?' as Jamie repeated, 'Nothing was working.'

Sophie then shared her frustration: 'Raging, I was like, you're f*****g joking, this is f****d…' Jamie added, 'She [Sophie] was like, "I'm ovulating". I was like, "How long for?"' When asked if the pressure got to him, Jamie admitted, 'So much pressure, so much pressure. It was like so full on.'
