Actress Jaime King has spoken out after her husband, Austin Sosa, filed for divorce less than a year into their marriage. King, 46, said she was 'completely blindsided' by the filing, which she claims came without warning.
In a statement to Us Weekly, King revealed she had been with Sosa the night before the divorce became public and believed they were working on their relationship. 'I was with Austin the night before it became public, and while like many marriages we had normal challenges, I genuinely believed we were working on our relationship,' she said.
The couple became engaged in July 2025 and secretly married shortly after, though the exact date of the wedding is unknown. Sosa filed divorce papers on Thursday, according to TMZ, but the reason for the split has not been disclosed.
King also addressed recent reports of her being seen with hotelier Vikram Chatwal, describing the interactions as 'strictly professional business meetings' unrelated to the divorce. The actress, who shares two sons with ex-husband Kyle Newman, said her children remain her top priority.
King's previous marriage to Newman ended in 2023 after a lengthy custody battle. In March 2025, Newman was granted sole physical custody of their sons, with visits to be supervised until King completes a drug and alcohol programme.
