TV chef and presenter James Martin, 53, made a stylish appearance at the TRIC Awards alongside his 39-year-old fiancee, Kim Johnson, showcasing the results of his latest body transformation. The couple beamed as they stepped out at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London for the annual ceremony, which honours achievements in television and radio.
James opted for a grey suit paired with a crisp white shirt, leaving the top buttons undone for a relaxed yet polished look. Kim turned heads in a royal blue dress, accessorised with an elegant bronze belt, a matching watch, and open-toed heels.
Three-Stone Weight Loss Journey
James has previously shared details of his impressive three-stone weight loss, attributing much of it to a simple two-ingredient breakfast: grilled tomatoes on toast. He described the meal as "simple and very tasty" in an interview with Hello! magazine. His dietary dishes now make up 80 per cent of his diet, though he has reportedly not given up his beloved butter.
In one of his cookbooks, James noted that his recipes were "specifically created" using ingredients discovered during his travels. However, his absolute favourite dish remains the two-ingredient breakfast. He also mentioned another favourite: "barbecued leeks with lardons and hazelnuts."
Motor Racing Inspired Weight Loss
During an appearance on the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast, James admitted that his weight loss journey was spurred on by his passion for motor racing. He explained that if he didn't lose weight, he would "struggle to get out of them" (the race cars). He said: "It comes down to the fact that I race cars, or I still try and race a few cars and I actually struggle to get out of them now. Getting in them, you kind of fall in them."
Previous TRIC Awards Controversy
At last year's TRIC ceremony, former This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes was heckled after accepting the award for best news on behalf of GB News Breakfast. The 66-year-old faced audible boos from some attendees when his show was announced. Despite the hostile reaction, Eamonn delivered a touching tribute to fellow presenter Charli Peters, who had earlier won the News Presenter award for his investigative work on grooming gangs. Eamonn ended his speech awkwardly after someone in the audience heckled him to 'get off'. He said: "For the thousands of people who voted, that is brilliant for us so we say thank you, thank you, thank you, to anyone who did bother to vote."
