Former rugby union star James Haskell has left little to the imagination in a daring towel snap shared on social media, showing off his weight loss transformation. The 40-year-old, who split from his wife Chloe Madeley last year, posted a nearly nude photo of himself in a hotel room, wearing only a necklace and holding a small white towel over his crotch.
Haskell's weight has fluctuated over the years, from his muscular rugby days to a leaner physique after leaving the I'm A Celebrity jungle in 2019. During his time on the show, he dropped from a 4,000-calorie daily diet to just 700 calories, losing 10kg—mostly muscle mass. He later admitted he was 'wasting away' and described the camp meals as 'scraping the barrel'.
After the jungle, lockdown caused him to lose another 19lbs through a strict diet. He shared comparison photos on Instagram, writing: 'I got bored in lockdown 2 and saw how big I could get... 130kgs. Lockdown 3 I have gone the other way. I'm 8 weeks in and have gone from 122kgs to 113kgs.'
Haskell, who became a tech-house DJ after retiring from rugby in 2019, has spoken openly about his changing body. He recently admitted to the Mail that he was to blame for the end of his marriage to Chloe Madeley, saying: 'If I put more time into my marriage than I did Guinness, then I wouldn't be divorced now.' The pair continue to co-parent their two-year-old daughter Bodhi.
