Inbetweeners actor James Buckley has married his partner Clair Meek in a ceremony at Dundas Castle near Edinburgh. The 25-year-old, best known for playing Jay in the E4 comedy series, was joined by his co-stars Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison.
Buckley announced the news on Twitter, writing: 'Got married yesterday, wonderful day. Didn't wanna mention it 2 keep it private but those sneaky paps still gotta pic! None of harrison. So 1st day after being married. Can finally let that waste line explode.'
The couple, who have been dating for more than two years, decided to forgo a honeymoon. Buckley tweeted: 'We decided to just spend some time at home alone together with our son, coz of work this hasn't been possible since July!'
Other guests included actor Danny Dyer, whose partner Joanne Mas caught the bride's bouquet. Meek, a 24-year-old Scottish model, previously said Buckley is nothing like his on-screen character, describing him as 'shy and quiet and very thoughtful'.
After the wedding, Meek wrote on Twitter: 'Very happy to wake up as Mrs. James Buckley this morning. Had the most wonderful day & night! Thank you to everyone who was there! Cx'
