James Acaster, the 41-year-old comedian known as the most Faithful Traitor on the current series of Celebrity Traitors, has revealed he has a secret girlfriend, disappointing fans who have dubbed him the show's unlikely heartthrob.
Acaster, who became an unwilling Traitor on the BBC series alongside presenter Maya Jama and content creator King Kenny, has captured the nation's attention, with fans creating adoring memes and fan videos on social media.
Revealing His Relationship
Speaking to The New Cue newsletter, Acaster gave fans an insight into his daily routine and dropped the bombshell that he is currently in a relationship. Describing their cosy downtime together, he said: "The cats wake us up around 6.30am. Feed them, do all the cat stuff. Go to this place nearby to get breakfast, get myself some bircher muesli, filter coffee, bring it back, eat breakfast with my girlfriend."
He continued: "Think about doing exercise, spend the whole day putting off the exercise, do it at 5pm, do yoga, go to the gym, get back, feed the cats again and then try and find something to watch, usually a film. In the day, it’s a lot of listening to music, having a nap at some point, going for a walk."
Past Relationships
The Off Menu host previously dated actress and writer Louise Ford, with whom he split in 2013 after two years together. Ford has appeared in shows such as The Windsors and Horrible Histories.
He later dated comedian Rose Matafeo, who created and starred in the BBC show Starstruck. Matafeo has referenced their relationship in some of her stand-up comedy routines but has never named him.
Acaster is known for being notoriously private and rarely opens up about his personal life.
