The cause of death for reality TV star Jake Hall remains a mystery after an inquest opening revealed that a post-mortem examination could not determine how he died. Hall, best known for his role on The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE), was found dead at a holiday villa in Mallorca on May 6 at the age of 35.
Inquest Details
At East London Coroner’s Court on Tuesday, June 16, it was heard that Hall had suffered head injuries following a collision with a glass door. However, a post-mortem examination conducted at East Ham Mortuary after his body was repatriated to the UK was unable to pinpoint the exact cause of death.
Area coroner Nadia Persaud has requested that Spanish authorities provide the court with toxicology reports, police reports, and witness statements. She also designated Hall’s family members as “interested persons,” allowing them to interrogate evidence or witnesses at a future inquest. A provisional inquest date has been set for December 7.
Hall's Legacy
Jake Hall joined TOWIE in 2015 and left the show in 2024, having been a cast member for almost a decade. He also ran a menswear brand called By Jake Hall. His funeral took place last week, and tributes have poured in from friends, family, and former co-stars.
Hall’s ex-girlfriend and former TOWIE co-star Chloe Lewis paid tribute on Instagram, describing him as “a massive and special part of my life.” The pair dated in their teenage years and had a tumultuous on-off relationship that ended in 2016.
Celebrity DJ Fat Tony also paid tribute, noting the “incredible turn out of love” at Hall’s funeral. Hall leaves behind his eight-year-old daughter, River, with Albanian model and Real Housewives of Cheshire star Beqiri, who said her heart was “shattered” by his death.
