Jaime Winstone has been announced as the seventh celebrity contestant for Strictly Come Dancing 2026. The actress, 41, who is the daughter of actor Ray Winstone, said: “I am so excited to announce that I will be joining the Strictly Come Dancing cast this year. I am no stranger to a dance floor, but the ballroom is a whole new world for me. I love a challenge though, so can’t wait to enter my showgirl era and get super sparkly! Let’s get physical – see you on the dance floor!”
Career and film roles
Winstone is known for appearing in films including Made In Dagenham, Bullet Boy and Tomb Raider. The star has also appeared in several shows including Dead Set, Poirot and the BBC TV movie Babs, where she played the late Dame Barbara Windsor. She has also branched into theatre work, starring in the West End production of 2:22 A Ghost Story.
Personal life
Winstone and her husband James Suckling married in October 2023 after eight years together. Their son, Raymond Jnr – named after his famous grandfather – was born in 2016.

Winstone will join previously announced contestants Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem, Chris Appleton, Cach Mercer, Will Best and Dame Sarah Storey. Broadcaster Emma Willis, professional dancer Johannes Radebe and comedian Josh Widdicombe are the new hosts of the BBC show. They will replace Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who announced they were leaving the show late last year. Further celebrities joining the line-up will be announced throughout the summer ahead of the new series airing on BBC One and iPlayer this September.
