Cruz Beckham has hit back at trolls criticising his relationship with older girlfriend Jackie Apostel, using a joke about his mother Victoria's famously limited diet. The 21-year-old musician and his 30-year-old girlfriend have faced comments about their nine-year age gap since going public at Glastonbury 2024.
In a recent TikTok video, Cruz was seen cooking crepes for Jackie with the caption: 'She wants crepe, she got em.' One user commented: 'I love when a son cooks for his mum.' Cruz swiftly replied: 'U think VB is eating a Nutella crepe, no chance daley.' The quip referenced Victoria Beckham's well-known eating habits, which her husband David has described as 'the same thing for the last 25 years' – grilled fish and steamed vegetables.
Victoria has previously spoken about her disciplined eating, telling the River Cafe Table 4 podcast that she rarely deviates from her routine. However, she has also insisted she is 'flexible' and enjoys eating out, adding: 'I eat lots of fresh fish, fresh vegetables and salads, as well as seeds and nuts.'
When the relationship first emerged, a source told OK! magazine that Victoria had concerns about the age gap, saying: 'She does have some concerns about the age gap and whether her youngest son is ready for that kind of commitment. Cruz is still a teenager whereas Jackie is a fully grown woman who is at a different stage in her life.'
