Jack Whitehall has confessed he 'messed up' his first chance at marriage, ahead of his current engagement to model Roxy Horner. The comedian, 36, is now engaged to Horner, 33, and the couple share daughter Elsie, born in September 2023. They announced their engagement in December last year, with Whitehall popping the question in a festive setting surrounded by Christmas trees and fairy lights.
However, Whitehall previously revealed he sabotaged his long-term relationship with actress Gemma Chan, with whom he was in a six-year romance until 2017. In the fourth series of his Netflix show 'Travels With My Father', he told his mother: 'I f***ed up my chance of that. I did. I could have got married but I messed it up.' He later joked about attending his sister's wedding alone, saying he might 'try to shag a bridesmaid'.
During a stand-up show, Whitehall explained the split was amicable but stemmed from differing expectations: 'She wanted kids now whereas I wanted to escape. I’m not good with kids.' Despite the friendly parting, Whitehall lamented the lack of dramatic material for his comedy.
Between his relationships with Chan and Horner, Whitehall was linked to several celebrities. In 2019, he was reportedly seen with Paris Hilton, who left flirty emojis on his social media posts. A source told HollywoodLife that Hilton found him 'gorgeous but brilliant and hilarious'. Earlier, in 2018, he was spotted kissing actress Kate Beckinsale, 15 years his senior, at a Hollywood bar and a luxury hotel.
