Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has been pictured with his newborn daughter as his wife provided an update on their first three weeks as parents. The actor, known for playing David Platt on the ITV soap, confirmed last month the arrival of his fourth child—a baby girl named Constance Ita Shepherd—his first with wife Hanni Treweek.
New Arrival and Family Update
Jack, 37, already has children Nyla Rae and Ruben with ex-girlfriend Lauren Shippey, and a son, Greyson, with former partner Sammy Milewski. He and Hanni, who married at Manchester Cathedral in July 2025, announced their pregnancy on Valentine's Day 2026. The couple did not discover the baby's gender beforehand.
On June 26, Constance was born peacefully at home, as announced via a photo showing the newborn's tiny hand. The caption read: "Constance Ita Shepherd [heart emoji] Our beautiful baby girl has arrived, born peacefully at home, surrounded by love."
Hanni's Heartfelt Post
Three weeks later, Hanni shared a selfie with Jack and Constance, along with images of her doting on the baby. She captioned the Instagram post: "The best three weeks of my entire life with my baby girl [crying face and heart emojis]."
Fans and co-stars responded warmly. Sally Carman-Duttine, who plays Gemma Winter on Coronation Street, wrote: "Gorgeous pics [heart emoji]." Other comments included: "Awww your lives will never be the same again…enjoy every moment of her" and "Beautiful photos. Constance looks so tiny."
Behind the Name Choice
On the podcast On the Sofa with former co-star Colson Smith, Jack revealed the couple searched for "unusual" names. "What you do is when you're picking names, you Google. You'll go French names, Italian names, something that's a bit, you know, European and posh," he said. "Constance came up and it was probably the only one that we both agreed on."
Constance arrived two weeks after her due date, allowing Hanni to have a home birth. Jack described the experience as "beautiful" and expressed his joy at expanding his family.
