Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd Shares Hair Transplant Update as Fans React
Jack P Shepherd Gives Hair Transplant Update After Fan Reaction

Coronation Street star Jack P. Shepherd has offered an update on his hair transplant, as fans continue to react to his new look following the recent procedure. The actor, famed for playing David Platt in the ITV soap, confirmed earlier this month that he had undergone his third hair transplant, several years after his last in 2019.

Previous Procedures and Motivation

When he previously underwent the procedure, Jack said at the time that as an actor, it was ‘vital’ that he had a full head of hair, and added that stress from 'hurtful' comments on social media led him to take action. Speaking on the On the Sofa podcast, which he co-hosts with Corrie co-star Ben Price and former soap star Colson Smith, Jack said at the start of the month: "This is my third one. So most people are thinking, I thought you'd just get one hair transplant and then it's Elvis. But that's not the case, apparently, because baldness still progresses as time goes on. So I had one in 2018, 2019 and now. So I've had it all done mainly on the front and sections."

Recent Update on Recovery

Weeks on, Jack shared a fresh update on his look. Taking to Facebook, he posted a video in which he spoke directly to the camera and said: "So you can see, it's starting to fall out now. It does this. They say, 'Don't freak out!', but after a while, the ones that you've had to put in fall out and then they regrow again, allegedly... hopefully. Obviously, the third time I've had this done now, so I'm kind of used to it. But yeah... it's kind of working nicely. You can see, at the back there, that scar where it was extracted is growing nicely. Coming along, coming along. So, I mean, it's only been two weeks, just over two weeks, so yeah... looking good."

Personal Life and Fatherhood

Jack is currently taking some time away from playing his famous role on the cobbles as he prepares for the arrival of his first child with his wife, Hanni Treweek. The couple announced in February, on Valentine's Day, that they are expecting their first child together, seven months after tying the knot at Manchester Cathedral in July. Revealing their baby joy, Hanni posted a video to Instagram, in which the couple walked in the grounds of a country house, before Jack cradled and kissed her blossoming bump. She captioned the clip: "We've been keeping a secret…June 2026. Thank you so much to the dream team who made this so special for us."

The couple's impending arrival will mark the fourth time Jack has become a father. The soap star already has kids, Nyla Rae and Ruben, with ex-girlfriend Lauren Shippey, and son Greyson with his former partner, Sammy Milewski. Last week, Hanni hinted that her due date was approaching as she celebrated her birthday. Taking to Instagram, she shared a gorgeous snap of herself in a long black dress that accentuated her baby bump. Alongside the post, she wrote: "All dressed up for afternoon tea. My last birthday before I can call myself a mama & we have two June babies."
