Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein, whose joint promotion of their new film Office Romance was marked by flirtatious glances and inside jokes, are reportedly now an item. US reports describe the pair as “seeing each other”, with the relationship said to be “casual”.
During their promotional duties, the chemistry was dialled up to a hundred, from red carpet appearances to TikTok videos. One insider said: “It was ever so slightly nauseating but at the same time you couldn’t take your eyes off them. As a PR strategy, they played a blinder.”
From Showmance to Real Romance
Despite their earlier denials, the pair have been spending time together after filming wrapped. Last week, they arrived in the same car at a party in Los Angeles, entering separately to avoid raising eyebrows.
When asked directly if they were dating, Lopez replied “Not dating,” with Goldstein adding “Correct.” Those comments were made back in the Summer, and things appear to have moved on since.
Lopez's Romantic History
Lopez has a colourful relationship history. Her first husband was Cuban waiter Ojani Noa, whom she married in 1997; they separated after 11 months. She then dated Sean 'Diddy' Combs, and in December 1999, the couple were arrested following a shooting at a New York nightclub. Lopez spent several hours in police custody before being released without charge.
In September 2001, she married backing dancer Cris Judd, but they split within nine months. She then grew close to Ben Affleck, whom she met while making Gigli. Affleck proposed with a six-carat pink diamond ring, but their wedding, planned for September 2003, was called off days beforehand.
Later Marriages and Relationships
In 2004, Lopez married singer Marc Anthony. They welcomed twins Max and Emme in 2008, but announced their separation in 2011, with the divorce finalised three years later. She later dated Casper Smart, a backing dancer 18 years her junior, and had a brief reported romance with rapper Drake.
In 2017, she began dating former baseball player Alex Rodriguez, who proposed two years later with a diamond ring reportedly worth more than £1 million. The couple postponed their wedding during the pandemic and announced their separation in April 2021.
Within weeks, Lopez was back with Affleck, and the pair married in Las Vegas in July 2022. A larger wedding followed at Affleck's estate in Georgia. In August 2024, on the second anniversary of that ceremony, Lopez filed for divorce.
Goldstein's Low-Key Love Life
Goldstein has kept his romantic life low-key. He previously dated comedian Beth Rylance, acknowledging their relationship during his acceptance speech at the 2021 Emmy Awards, telling her: “Beth, I love you.” They subsequently separated, without publicly discussing the reasons.
One insider said: “They are like chalk and cheese in many respects. A quite sensible Brit with someone as flamboyant as J-Lo. Perhaps that's why they get on so well, you never know.”
