A 35-year-old Instagram influencer has married her 20-year-old stepson, weeks after announcing their relationship had ended her marriage to his father. Marina Balmasheva and Vladimir 'Voya' Shavyrin tied the knot in a registry office ceremony in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Russia, last week.
The couple, who dressed in ordinary clothes for the legal ceremony before changing into wedding attire for a reception, shared images on Instagram for Marina's nearly 500,000 followers. In a video, they are seen signing documents and sharing a kiss. Marina described the event as 'ordinary' and said she did not even have a hairbrush with her.
Marina was previously married to Voya's father, Alexey Shavyrin, 45, for over ten years. The couple adopted four children, including one with Down syndrome, before separating. Following the divorce, a court stripped Marina of her parental rights, and the children now live with Alexey.
Marina announced her pregnancy in June, posting a photo of a positive pregnancy test while cuddling Voya. The couple have released ultrasound footage showing the foetus, which they suggest looks like a boy. Marina is reportedly 11-12 weeks pregnant.
Alexey has claimed that the affair between Marina and his son began while they were still married, alleging he discovered them having sex in the family home. Marina and Voya have acknowledged they are not speaking to Alexey. 'We are expecting a baby and we now want to move to a bigger city,' Marina said after the wedding.
